About 82-0

82-0 is a free, independent NBA roster-drafting game: spin for an era, draft five legends across every position, and see if your roster can go undefeated. It's built around one simple dare — chase a perfect 82-0 season — plus a growing set of guides covering the entire "82-0" genre: history, strategy, and how every version of this game actually differs.

Why we built it

"Draft an all-time roster and chase a perfect season" is a small but genuinely popular genre — independent builds exist across basketball, football, and baseball, and the basketball version went viral in mid-2026 after NBA players and teams themselves started posting their own results. Most versions of the game state plainly that they have no positional restrictions and no synergy scoring — the optimal strategy is simply stacking the highest raw stat totals, regardless of whether that leaves you with five shooting guards and no rebounding. We built our own version specifically to fix that: every round is locked to a real position, and every completed lineup gets a full, named chemistry breakdown explaining exactly what's working and what isn't — not just a final score.
